Jina Park, LCSW
Founder and CEO
Los Angeles raised by immigrant parents, she understands the unique challenges and rewards that come from diverse backgrounds. Her journey to becoming a therapist wasn't linear. After studying Criminal Justice, she moved to New York City in 2009. It was there, inspired by the vibrant energy of the city and the desire to support individuals on a deeper level, that she pursued her Master's degree at NYU and began working in the field of social work.
What truly motivates her is the power of listening. Every person has a unique story, and she finds immense purpose in hearing those stories and guiding individuals through their life struggles. She believes therapy is a collaborative journey and is here to walk alongside clients as they navigate challenges, build resilience, and discover their full potential.
Her Approach:
She utilizes a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic Therapy to tailor treatment to specific needs. CBT helps identify thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress, while Psychodynamic Therapy explores the unconscious mind and past experiences that may influence the present.
A Personal Note:
In her 20s, Jina was diagnosed with anxiety. This experience not only sparked her passion for mental health but also gave her firsthand insight into the challenges clients face. Therapy helped her understand herself better, develop coping mechanisms, and live a more balanced life. Now, she is dedicated to providing the same support and guidance to others on their own journeys.
My Qualifications:
Jina is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in both New Jersey and New York.
